Keep your canine companion protected with a vaccination plan.
When vaccinating puppies, the goal is to prime their naive immune system, so it can produce appropriate antibodies and neutralize infectious agents, preventing disease. This requires a series of vaccines, generally at 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age.
We offer vaccinations to protect against rabies, parvovirus, distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza, Bordetella, leptospirosis, and Lyme disease. Of course, we split these up and schedule them accordingly, so we do not overwhelm the immune system.
It is important to properly vaccinate all puppies because many of these diseases can be fatal or cause serious consequences. Vaccinating your puppy is one of the easiest and most effective ways to keep your puppy healthy.
Vaccinations need to be given within specific time frames to be effective. Puppies receive initial vaccines at eight weeks old (which is old enough to ensure that their mother’s antibodies don’t interfere) and then boosters at 12 and 16 weeks of age, to ensure that the protection lasts a full year.
We want your puppy’s first visit to be especially pleasant, so make sure you have your new addition on a leash and collar, and maybe even bring some treats to reward them with. Don’t forget to bring a stool sample to check for parasites and remember what food(s) you are feeding so we can discuss that too. Any questions that you may have between now and the appointment, write them down and bring them too. Every question is an important one. If you would like a tour of our facility, just let us know in advance so we can schedule your appointment length accordingly.
We have one fixed cost per visit for exam and puppy vaccines, which includes almost all vaccines your new pup should need.
